BEST 5: JANUARY 2024

The Staple Presents Techno 5-5

A look back at some of the top tracks we have had on repeat throughout January as we enter the new year full of new releases.

Jack Wostear - Fix It

Remarkably this track from the Brighton based producer and DJ is sitting under 1,000 listens on Spotify. A tech house track that grabs the attention of the listener with its infectious vocals and old school sounding melodies make for a great listen. Sure 2024 will be a great year for Jack with new music coming out as early as 9th February.

Job De Jong - Back Beat Action

Although never releasing on Spotify, ‘Back Beat Action’ was released via SoundCloud in June 2023 from Dutch producer Job De Jong on, who has previously released records on PIV and Heavy House records. The track is like a pinch of summer while listening throughout winter and it’s real groover with a strong baseline and punchy beat.

Ueberrest - You Know What

Releasing very late into 2023, ‘You Know What’ is a wonderful techno track released on no other than R Label, founded by Kobosil. The track infuses church sounding vocals with a hard beat creating a perfect blend, the track was a staple in Kobosil’s sets in 2023 before finally releasing in December.

Morley - Hot N Horny

‘Hot N Horny’ from Essex producer and DJ ‘Morley’ is great house track with some really cool samples and vocal chops. The track released back in December 2023 via SoundCloud on Nuevo Records and deserves a lot more attention. The tracks samples and differently layers make the track only get better and better with more listens.

5. Peace Control & Fireboy DML - Peru (Peace Control Remix)

Played around the world last year by no other that Keinemusik, this ‘Peru’ remix from Peace Control is a great track for the summer ahead. After only releasing in December of 2023 the track is already on 400,000 + streams on Spotify alone. The track doesn’t take away from the original too much but more so adding with a relaxing drum pattern giving it this relaxing house sound making it perfect for Keinemusik sets under the ‘kloud’.
